The Electronic Apprentice will support our Field Service Engineers in delivering high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair services for electrical and electronic systems within water and gas quality equipment. This apprenticeship provides hands-on experience alongside formal training, developing technical skills and industry knowledge. This position will lead to a Field Service Engineer position.
Job Duties:
Assist Field Service Engineers with installation, calibration, and maintenance of electrical/electronic components in water quality and Gas systems.
Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot faults in electrical circuits, sensors, and control systems.
Support routine inspections and testing to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
Follow health, safety, and environmental guidelines at all times.
Participate in on-the-job training and attend college for apprenticeship classes, exams and coursework.
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions as part of field-based activities.
Education and Experience:
GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science is essential
Qualifications:
Interest in electrical/electronic engineering and water quality technologies.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to build internal and external relationships.
Full UK driving license (or working towards) is desirable
