PURPOSE OF JOB:
To assist the Production Department in the daily execution of operations with respect to Safety, Customer Service, Cost, and People.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Production responsibility for assigned coverage area
First responder to issues impacting production; escalating issues/concerns to supervisor
Responsible for training/training plan(s) for new associates and temporary employees
Evaluate training effectiveness (OJT’s, training materials, and knowledge demonstration/retention). Must complete Train the Trainer program
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental & company goals, as well as problem resolution and continuous improvement efforts. Will include usage of WCM tools.
Provide leadership to others through example and knowledge sharing
Utilization of SAP, including reporting of production and investigation of issues
NEEDED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent; college degree a plus
Spanish/English Bilingual a must
Read and write Spanish and English
Ability use Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
Thorough knowledge of all machines and support equipment
Capacity to analyze data & ability to problem solve
Ability & Willingness to work independently with little supervision
Capable of executing system requirements within SAP
Capacity to effectively communicate vertically & horizontally w/ multiple departments
Capable of safely lifting 50 lbs
Willingness to work weekends and overtime on short notice
Readiness to perform any other duties issued by the Production Manager or Supervision
