About The Opportunity
The Post Folder Gluer Operator is responsible for gathering stacks of joined cartons, inspecting them for quality and guiding them through the bundler. The person in this position also sets up the machine for proper fold and joining of die cut blanks.Essential Functions:
Operate machine at efficiency standard levels set by Menasha
Set up machine for proper fold and glue
Check product quality and for correct register
Monitor incoming stock and product after being die cut to meet and maintain Menasha’s and
our customer’s quality standards
Maintain a clean work area
Repair or assist maintenance in the repair of the machine as necessary
Direct crew members
Rotate positions when needed
Check finished product for quality per customer specifications
Ensure quality is a work priority by being attentive to detail and accuracy and by actively seeking work process improvements— quality is the responsibility of all employees
Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed
Ability to effectively work in teams
Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
Ability to read a tape measure/ruler
Good mathematical skills
Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job
Trouble shooting skills
Ability to read and count
