What You Will Do

  • Ensure GFP (Government-Furnished Property) contractual requirements are clearly understood, documented in program materials, and executed accordingly. This includes registering unique item identification and interfacing with internal and external government property databases.
  • Interact with government contacts to monitor expected deliveries of GFP in alignment with Statements of Work (SOW). Collaborate with teams to ensure government property contractual obligations are met, and that inventories and statuses are accurate and up to date.
  • Notify Receiving, Incoming Inspection, and Property Administration teams of any GFP requiring special routing, inspection, or documentation. Facilitate and ensure the delivery of GFP to applicable facilities and sites.
  • Oversee property transfer and contract close-out activities related to GFP to ensure timely and efficient disposition of assets.
  • Support and monitor Earned Value Management (EVM) data, tracking planned versus actual hours for tasks and prepare quarterly EVM reports.
  • Prepare data and materials for presentation at internal and external management reviews.

What You Will Learn

As a Government Property Specialist, you will learn how to support Government Furnished Property (GFP) and Contractor Acquired Property (CAP) to include Equipment and Material. Additionally, you will support Depot Maintenance, Spares, and Supply Chain Management activities as needed. You will be instrumental in reviewing Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), and RTX contracts and proposals, ensuring a consistent and holistic approach to the management of government and customer property.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree
  • This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)

Qualifications We Prefer

  • The ability to understand the control and accountability of property in a government or civilian environment.
  • The ability to understand and learn business systems of PRISM (material and inventory control), SOS (government property disposition system) and PIEE (US government property management system).
  • The ability to understand the application of the following government statutes and regulations: FAR – Federal Acquisition Regulations, DFAR – Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations, DODIs – Department of  MIL standards, etc.
  • Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Proficiency in identifying and developing organizational processes.
  • Excellent data gathering and data analysis skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team, inspiring confidence in others, effectively communicate with program personnel, peers, functional leadership, customer representatives and government agencies.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
