Organisational context - COO Tech & Transformation:​

The purpose of the COO Tech & Transformation domain is to: Elevate transparency and control over which IT products and services are delivered and consumed throughout ING in a standardized manner, leading to faster, more cost-efficient, and increased usage of our growing technology platform.

The top structure of COO Tech consists of give subdepartments, with several teams operating under their leadership: 1) CTO Development & Support, 2) Change & Transformation leads, 3) Product & Service Management, 4) Reporting & Insights (CDO) and 5) Global C&T Capabilities

Are you the professional to join the COO Tech & Transformation / CTO ODCR team to make impact with your expertise and energy to ensure sound risk management for the CTO organization? Does it sound interesting? Please read on!

ING is looking for a Risk Professional - 1st Line-of-Defense- to ensure that ING's activities are in line with risk and regulatory requirements and run smoothly in such a way that it can be demonstrated to our management, the regulators and most important the outside world.

We have a central role within CTO organization to support the all CTO domains. For these domains we coordinate, design, implement, evaluate and support ORM and Compliance processes.

Besides the central role for CTO, we also provide 1LoD Risk support for COO Tech.

To succeed we work closely with other 1LoD and 2LoD risk colleagues to ensure we have compliant processes, can proof we are in control (via KCT, Alternative Monitoring) and ensure we meet internal and external timelines.  

We are a relative new team, combining experienced NFR experts from across CTO. Due to our extensive scope you can work on a divers set of NFR topics; while also making real impact for CTO. We are self-organized, pleasant, social, value each other’s and keep each other sharp on result and delivery. Within the team there is opportunity to further develop and grow to a next job level.

What will you do:

  • Be a dedicated Business Partner towards a specific CTO domain to ensure they are informed, in control and can take ownership of risks.

  • Be Centre of Excellence for a specific PCS or framework, ensuring its relevant for CTO and we can support business partners and domains in their compliance

  • Contribute to the integrity of ING's internal services, employees and compliance with respect to the outside world.

  • Support and work together with management to identify risks and perform risk management as per the Enterprise Risk Management methodology for the various Risk focus areas such as Operational Risk Management, Information Risk Management and Compliance (Non-Financial Risk).

  • Participate and improve in we are organized and work Drive, support and continuously improve risk process for CTO.

  • Support and advise other colleagues and management in managing these risks. The objective is to identify, classify and reduce the various risks in the business to enable management to control risks and hence prevent or mitigate possible losses for ING.

What we are looking for:

Experience:

  • 5-10 years’ experience in Risk  (1lod / 2lod / 3lod)

  • In-depth knowledge of Risk Management procedures and methodologies, risk assessments, etc.

  • A demonstrable understanding of technology and operations in banking

  • CISM and/or CISA or similar certification (Certifications in the area of Audit, Information Security, (Enterprise) Risk Management)

Skills:

  • Can push things forward in a consistent and constructive manner.

  • Results-oriented and stress resistant, eye for detail and fact based

  • Ability to create buy-in and engagement at all levels of the organization

  • Proven ‘trusted advisor’ to senior management

  • Excellent level of English, communication, and presentation skills

Education:

  • Master’s degree and relevant certifications
