Summary of Primary Functions: Assists Bed Leader in directing bed crew to set up and pour concrete members and ensures that all steel, cables, form liner, wood, insulation, etc., are properly placed and that the bed is properly prepared before setup. Assist Bed Leader in performance of routine duties and special tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.
Works with the bed leader in the daily review of shop cards for days pour and plan required preparations to set up bed.
Assisting the Bed Leader in communicating with the support employees to ensure that all necessary materials are brought to the bed.
Assisting the Bed Leader in directing the crew as to the correct locations of all wood, steel and other materials.
Continually checks the layout of the bed with daily shop cards throughout the shift to ensure accurate construction of concrete member.
Assist the Bed Leader in directing and assisting pouring of the bed from concrete delivery equipment.
Assist the Bed Leader in directing and assisting employees to ensure that concrete member has correct finish.
Works with all bed crew members in stripping bed, cleaning, oiling, placing bulkheads, plates, rebar, etc. throughout the shift.
Assists bed leader in complete final check of work center daily.
Works as a production team member by being responsible for any additional duties that the Production.
Supervisor describes are needed to meet the production deadlines.
Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by Supervisor
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
