The Raytheon team is looking for a Signal Processing Product Owner (PO) within the XBR Agile Release Train (ART). As a member of this team, you will be supporting build, test, FQT, and Signal Processor development in Woburn, MA, at the Missile Defense Center (MDC). In addition to implementing Agile practices and principles, you will be managing the technical scope for the team.

The job location for this opportunity is on-site in Woburn, Massachusetts.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for the execution of a subset of the engineering scope for the XBR Program, including definition, coordination and execution of the technical tasks for their team.  Specific responsibilities include:

  • Break down complex software capabilities into manageable pieces that can be achieved on a sprint and Program Increment (PI) basis.

  • Decompose software signal processor scope related to Arbitrary Waveforms (AWF) for the Advanced Signal Processor (ASP) capability.

  • Software technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the new ASP effort.

  • Work closely with stakeholders, including external customers, engineering teams, program leadership to refine the product backlog and ensure team priorities are aligned with program execution.

  • Drive reusable software solutions that are program indifferent, increasing obtained value.

  • Decompose software signal processor scope related to Arbitrary Waveforms (AWF) for the Advanced Signal Processor (ASP) capability.

  • Participate in Design Review as a stakeholder for Software Engineering.

  • Provide technical direction and guidance for new Signal Processor (SP) capabilities.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

  • Experience using and understanding of fundamental concepts in C and C++ such as pointers, memory management, and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.

  • Experience using debugging tools, such as GDB, to quickly identify and fix software bugs, as well as optimize code for performance.

  • Experience with detection processing and filtering in real-time, multithreaded systems in C and C++.

  • Experience developing with Scrum methodology.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with Agile Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools (e.g. JIRA)

  • Well-developed communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience leading a technical effort, and execution of technical, cost, and schedule performance.

  • Knowledge of and ability to work within the Agile Scrum development practice, and FQT experience.

  • Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose for developing creative solutions to technical problems.

  • Experience with current Missile defense programs with specific experience in large, complex systems.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
