As a Segment PR Senior Manager, you will serve as the primary PR partner for segment leadership teams, driving strategic communications that elevate Baker Hughes’ reputation, strengthen executive visibility, and support commercial priorities. You will lead PR strategy development, manage media relations, coordinate cross‑functional communication programs, and ensure alignment with enterprise brand and messaging frameworks.

You will collaborate closely with Thought Leadership, Brand, Marketing & External Communications, and segment stakeholders to deliver integrated PR programs that reinforce Baker Hughes’ position as a global leader in energy technology and innovation.

In this role, you will be:

  • Developing comprehensive PR strategies and communication plans tailored to segment priorities

  • Coordinating and managing communication projects, campaigns, and events from inception to completion

  • Serving as the primary PR contact for segment leadership, providing strategic counsel and building trusted relationships

  • Identifying media spokespeople and providing training in partnership with Thought Leadership and Brand & Communications teams

  • Maintaining visibility into commercial awards, earnings processes, and announcement calendars

  • Managing media relations, including drafting press releases, pitching stories, and responding to inquiries

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with journalists, trade publications, and industry influences

  • Developing and executing proactive crisis management strategies to protect the company’s reputation

As a Segment PR Senior Manager, you will be responsible for:

PR Strategy & Planning

  • Developing integrated PR strategies and plans aligned with segment and enterprise priorities.

  • Identifying target audiences, key messages, and communication channels to maximize impact.

  • Ensuring PR plans support commercial, product, and corporate milestones.

Campaign & Program Execution

  • Leading end‑to‑end execution of PR campaigns, media programs, and communication initiatives.

  • Coordinating cross‑functional inputs to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality PR assets.

  • Supporting global and regional activation while maintaining message consistency.

Executive Visibility & Leadership Support

  • Serving as the main PR advisor to segment leadership teams.

  • Building executive visibility through bylined articles, speaking engagements, interviews, and thought leadership.

  • Identifying and train media spokespeople in partnership with enterprise communications teams.

Media Relations & Storytelling

  • Drafting press releases, media statements, pitches, and storytelling assets.

  • Pitching and secure coverage in tier‑one, trade, and industry media outlets.

  • Building and maintain strong relationships with journalists and industry influencers.

Crisis & Issues Management

  • Developing and maintain proactive crisis communication strategies.

  • Responding to media inquiries and manage sensitive issues to protect the company’s reputation.

  • Ensuring alignment with legal, compliance, and enterprise communications teams.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.

  • Have 8–10 years of experience in PR, corporate communications, or agency environments.

  • Have demonstrate strong ability to build stakeholder relationships and facilitate cross‑functional collaboration.

  • Have a proven track record of pitching and placing stories in tier‑one and trade media.

  • Have possess exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.

  • Thrive in a fast‑paced environment with the ability to solve complex problems and meet deadlines.
