Your role:

We are seeking a manager to join its Global Real Estate team, who will be a key member in leading its Workplace & Facilities Management strategy for the EMEA region.

This role requires clear strategic thinking, a responsible mindset and orientation toward operational excellence and continuous improvement. The Workplace & Facilities Manager for EMEA will also act as the budget holder for all sites with responsibility for all relevant cost centers, including revenue and capital costs. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the procurement process on a regional level, in a way that supports wider strategic global objectives.

In your daily tasks you will:

  • Assist standardizing end to end FM services: overseeing KPl-driven outsourced contracts for the maintenance and operation of all Aptiv EMEA footprint. Accountable for ensuring KPIs/SLAs with suppliers are delivered in line with Aptiv’s strategic IFM roadmap.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and & work with the global sourcing team to ensure these are incorporated in the overall procurement strategy.

  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on facility management and procurement practices to internal stakeholders/Business Unit leads.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers, ensuring alignment with Aptiv’s strategic objectives and values.

  • Strategic planning and budgeting: Manage regional opex/capex budgets for facility operations, maintenance, and improvement projects - providing input for strategic planning processes, investment and annual work planning, as well as for the related budget preparation and revision exercises;

  • Manage processes for creating purchase orders, forecasting costs, and tracking expenses against the site-specific operating budget, developing recommendations and implementation plans to drive cost efficiency and quality in workspace management.

  • Analyze and optimize workspace utilization across portfolio to provide data on occupancy with identifying opportunities to enhance employee productivity and satisfaction.

  • Overseeing construction and refurbishment projects: managing onsite construction and refurbishment projects for Aptiv EMEA locations.

  • Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure 100% compliance with country specific legal/QEHS standards for physical assets across regional portfolio.

  • Coordinating audits and inspections: initiating and coordinating audits, inspections, visits, studies, accident prevention exercises and mitigation.

Your background:

  • 6-8+ years experience in an operations leadership role, preferably facilities management procurement and category leadership. Preferably in a global company with 1000+ employees.

  • Exceptional communication skills, fluent in English, with additional language skills relevant to the EMEA region considered a plus.

  • Proven success with project execution, budget and cost savings, and other implementations.

  • Demonstrated success in managing operations across diverse geographic regions, particularly in EMEA

  • Experienced people manager of three or more team members.

  • Strong ability to build relationships and partner with department heads, managers, and staff across the organisation. Ability to lead, inspire, and influence across organizational boundaries.

  • Strong negotiation, strategic thinking, and relationship management skills.

  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and project management skills, with the capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
