We help people live their best lives. We help them with the big stuff, for the moments that matter: Pensions, Savings, Investments. At Aegon, we strive in creating a diverse organisation that plays a meaningful role in driving greater equity, inclusion and belonging.

Marketing Communications is the central hub for all ‘comms’ activity, directing and managing external communications to advisers, customers, and our markets. Our Marketing team operates across multiple UK locations, so some travel may be required.

We’re looking for a proactive and creative Workplace Communications Manager to support the Head of Workplace Communications in developing and delivering channel-specific marketing strategies. This role is key to ensuring compelling, compliant, and effective communications that engage advisers, employers, and customers.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Understand channel audience needs to create engaging content across all stages of new business acquisition and retention.

  • Lead marketing projects to improve communications (web, podcasts, campaign data).

  • Contribute to annual marketing plans and maintain a rolling monthly activity plan.

  • Develop and deliver marketing communications projects within agreed timescales and budgets.

  • Liaise with business stakeholders to agree where communication support should be prioritised.

  • Oversee creation of effective, compliant content across multiple media channels.

  • Manage allocated budgets, track effectiveness, and ensure adherence to brand standards.

  • Complete invoicing and purchasing processes accurately.

  • Evaluate and report on campaign performance, providing insights for future improvements.

  • Ensure all communications meet regulatory requirements and conduct risk standards.

  • Oversee expiring content and manage assets via the content production team.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Strong copywriting skills, especially for digital media.

  • Good understanding of brand guidelines and tone of voice.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proven project management experience, including cross-functional team leadership.

  • Knowledge of financial services and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience managing budgets and delivering marketing plans.

  • Ability to balance customer needs, compliance, and cost efficiency.

  • Strong analytical skills for measuring and reporting campaign success.

What’s in it for you?

  • We’re serious about your future and our enhanced pension scheme is now in place.  We ask you to contribute 3% of your salary to your pension and we’ll put in 9%.  If you decide to contribute more, we’ll match it up to a combined total of 20% of your salary (that’s 7% from you and 13% from us).

  • A discretionary bonus, depending on personal and company performance

  • 36 days leave per year (including bank holidays, pro-rated for part-time)

We also offer private medical cover, life assurance, critical illness cover, enhanced parental leave and a variety of lifestyle benefits to help our employees live their best lives, including retail discount vouchers, cycle2work scheme, subsidised restaurant and online GP appointments.  To find out more about what to expect at Aegon, visit our careers site.
