Job Description Summary

Join Service Stream, an ASX-listed leader as a Workforce Utilization & Planning Analyst.

You will play a key role in analysing workforce data, forecasting resource needs, and optimizing resource allocation to ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time. This permanent full-time role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work on a national scale, supporting critical projects across our business units.

This is a permanent, hybrid position based at our Collins Street office in Melbourne, available exclusively to Australian citizens.

About the Role

As a Workforce Utilization & Planning Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering actionable insights and strategic recommendations that improve project delivery and operational efficiency. Reporting to the Testing & Operational Services Manager, you will collaborate with project managers, delivery leads, and senior leadership to ensure optimal workforce planning. 

You will be responsible for: 

  • Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting workforce data, including utilization rates and skill sets. 

  • Developing dashboards and reports to provide clear visibility of resource availability and capacity. 

  • Forecasting future resource demands based on project pipelines and business goals. 

  • Modeling resourcing scenarios to assess impacts on timelines and budgets. 

  • Identifying process improvements and collaborating with HR and IT to enhance data accuracy. 

  • Acting as a key point of contact for resource-related inquiries and presenting insights to leadership. 

About you 

Our ideal candidate is a data-driven professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for optimizing workforce efficiency. You will also have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Finance, or related field. 

  • Must hold Australian citizenship. 

  • 3–5 years’ experience in data analysis, resource management, or workforce planning. 

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Confluence) and advanced Excel skills. 

  • Experience with resource management or project portfolio tools (Planview, Jira, Tempo, Azure DevOps). 

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall). 

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
