Job Summary: You will serve as a Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist in the Department of the Navy of NAS SIGONELLA Italy.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using Mass Warning and Notification Systems and Emergency Operations Center software to disseminate emergency information for Incident Command/Incident Management; 2) Ensuring Emergency Operation Center operations such as National Incident Management Systems (NIMS), FEMA, DoD and other response programs are in compliance with applicable rules and regulations; 3) Analyzing emergency management incidents and responses to determine appropriate responses and/or areas for improvement; and 4) Developing and maintaining current installation emergency plans and procedures for responding to natural disasters and other emergencies. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED: Must have satisfactorily completed or have the ability to complete required FEMA incident Command System courses (or equivalent), Telecommunicator courses, Emergency Medical Dispatch courses, and other courses and management courses as required by CNIC-M 3440.18 and CNIC 3440.17. incumbent is required to perform irregular work hours due to the demands of training, exercises or emergencies and the supervision of a 24/7/365 Emergency 9-1-1 Dispatch Center. The incumbent must be available for recall after normal duty hours when required, and adjust priorities to changes in workload based on uncontrollable situations. During a crisis, must be available for odd shift schedules and uncontrollable overtime. This position is mission essential, per DoD! 3020.42. This position is required to ensure continued performance of mission essential functions of the organization and meets the definition of per DoD! 3020.42 and other component policy.
