We are looking for a dedicated Workday Technical Specialist to join our HR Technology Team. In this role, you will serve as the integrations specialist. Your primary focus will be to ensure design and build integrations with the multiple tools that need to work in sync with Workday.
Key Responsibilities:
Integration Development & Deployment: Build, deploy, and maintain complex Workday Studio Integrations to connect MSI's enterprise systems with external payroll, benefits providers, and service platforms.
Data Exchange: Design and implement new Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) integrations for reliable and efficient data import and export.
Process Optimization: Configure and develop Workday business processes to streamline HR workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and significantly reduce manual data entry.
Advanced Reporting & Analytics: Create and maintain advanced Workday reports, including Composite Reports, Matrix Reports, and reports linking unrelated data objects to deliver actionable insights.
Security Management: Construct and manage Workday security profiles and models to enforce business process security, domain data control, and data access integrity.
Team Development & Collaboration: Mentor, train, and collaborate with other HR Tech team members to elevate the team's overall technical expertise and skills.
Business Analysis & Scoping: Serve as a Business Analyst, working directly with HR clients (HRBPs, Talent, Rewards, etc.) to define project scope, gather detailed business requirements, and develop technical specifications.
Quality Assurance & Testing: Build QA unit and system test plans and execute testing for all developed solutions. Create robust User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans to guide HR users during UAT execution.
Production Deployment: Manage the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of all developed solutions within PROD tenants.
Global Collaboration: Work during overlapping USA business hours to ensure effective collaboration and support for team members and users across North America (NA), Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), and Asia-Pacific (APAC) time zones.
Workday Technical Mastery:
Workday Studio: Deep expertise in developing, deploying, and debugging complex Workday Studio integrations.
Workday Integrations: Proficiency in building and managing EIB (Inbound/Outbound), Core Connectors, and Custom Reports as a Service (RaaS).
Workday Reporting: Expert-level skill in creating Composite Reports, calculated fields, and combining unrelated data sources for advanced analytics.
Workday Business Processes: Proven ability to configure and optimize complex multi-step business process definitions (BPs).
Workday Security: Expertise in configuring security groups, domain security policies, and user-based security models.
Software & AI Application Skills:
Data Technologies: XML, XSLT, XPATH, and JSON for integration mapping and transformation.
AI/Automation Mindset: Experience or strong understanding of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT, NotebookLM) to analyze project documentation, generate test cases, and identify opportunities for process automation.
Testing Tools: Familiarity with testing methodologies and tools for integration and functional validation.
Professional and Consulting Skills:
Business Analysis: Strong ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements and project scope documentation.
Mentorship & Training: Proven ability to mentor colleagues and conduct effective technical knowledge transfer sessions.
Client Management: Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working directly with functional HR and Finance stakeholders.
