Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Work Movement Manager to join our Work Movement team in Everett, Washington.

This is a multifaceted role that requires solid understanding of how Boeing purchases, manages consumes and distributes Materials and/or Standards across the enterprise as well as the life cycle of the material. 

The ideal candidate will communicate at all levels, and make presentations to various audiences. 

This role requires blending strategic thinking with on-the-ground execution, enabling the organizations to improve systems, business policies, processes and efficiencies to operate as One Boeing Supply Chain.  The Statement of Work includes standard Supply Chain Management functions, data analysis, forecasting, supply and/or demand troubleshooting, and additional duties as assigned. 

Our teams are currently hiring (Level K) Work Movement Manager.

Position Responsibilities:   

  • Manages Supply Base Management Specialist employees performing activities related to supplier/subcontractor business relationships, in-service requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectations.
  • Monitors supplier quality, delivery and financial performance.
  • Provides oversight, guidance and approval of supply base plans to ensure integration with customer, program and commodity strategies.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in Supplier Management or Supply Chain Management 
  • 5+ years of experience in communicating to employees, customers, peers and multiple levels of leadership 
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • 3+ years of experience interacting with suppliers, conducting supply chaing management, operational performance reviews, and suppliers
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 20% of the time domestically and internationally 
  • Candidates must have at lease one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
  • 5+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • 5+ years of experience with ERP systems such as ERPLN and/or SAP
  • 3+ years of experience with improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, systematic problem solving) 
  • 3+ years of experience with strategy development and execution
