About you and this role –

Diamond Infrastructure Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Work Activity Coordinator in Seadrift, Texas.

The Work Activity Coordinator has the primary responsibility for ensuring that maintenance work is carried out safely in an effective and efficient manner following the appropriate work processes. The maintenance needs of a production facility change rapidly due to the dynamic environment that exists in manufacturing. The Work Activity Coordinator is the Focal Point for Operations to utilize to efficiently address these changing maintenance needs. This person works with both Dow and Contract personnel, utilizing their knowledge, skills, and abilities to manage the maintenance needs of the maintenance department supported plants.

Responsibilities –

  • Reviews job packages and prepares to do the task.
  • Reports the progress of the daily work to enable adjustments to the work schedule when needed. Reviews work status with service providers and originators and adjusts schedule as required.
  • Reassigns person scheduled to perform work to the next job, in the event the equipment is not prepared for maintenance on originally assigned job.
  • Confirms that all scheduled job sequences, work and paperwork for the job have all been completed. Closes work order.
  • Spends time in field to accurately assess and plan repair work that is not archived.
  • Streamlines plans to safely and effectively perform repairs.
  • Creates job packages with all the necessary documents as determined by Best Practice.
  • Actively participates and leverages within the Planner network.
  • Utilizes Internet search capabilities to locate and identify spare parts for ordering.
  • Works with site Materials Management Department for ordering parts.
  • Uses good verbal and written communications skills.

Required Qualifications –

  • A minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3 or more years of industrial manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Qualifications –

  • 5 years of supervision/some type of industrial maintenance leadership experience or Work coordination experience.
  • Experience in an industrial maintenance or craft role.
  • Working within a maintenance organization.
  • Experience using SAP and Microsoft.

Willing and able to meet physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations –

  • Lift, push, and pull up to 55 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Work at heights, climb stairs and ladders.
  • Work in tight and closed in spaces.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment, including but not limited to respirator, earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes.

  • Scheduling: Plans daily maintenance work, sequences tasks, and adjusts the schedule in real time to keep execution safe, effective, and on track.
  • Coordination: Aligns Operations, Maintenance, and service providers; removes barriers; ensures permit readiness and job sequence integrity.
  • Safety: Champions EH&S compliance, life‑critical standards and required PPE in planning and execution.
  • Communication: Delivers clear verbal/written status, progress, and job feedback so stakeholders can make timely scheduling decisions.
  • Troubleshooting: Ability to work through a systematic approach that is data driven to identify potential root causes and resolve problems efficiently.  Troubleshooting equipment and quality issues.
  • Prioritization: The ability to assess all of the potential areas of focus, and able to prioritize what the organization is in most of need of to meet key deadlines.  Focus on urgent when needed, and also ability to be proactive for important/non-urgent activities.
