  • Disseminate WHS alerts and lessons learned from internal and external sources

  • Complete incident notification requirements in line with Transurban processes

  • Provide expertise in identifying, assessing, and controlling WHS risks, including psychosocial hazards

  • Implement and monitor assigned risk controls and actions, including updates to WHS systems and databases

  • Facilitate reviews of Asset Hazard Registers and communicate updates to stakeholders

  • Lead WHS reviews and workshops to address emerging risks

  • Lead WHS inspections, audits, and assurance activities, including regular site attendance

  • Support the recording, monitoring, and close‑out of corrective actions

  • Participate in internal and external audits

  • Support contractor and supplier evaluation and prequalification

  • Assist with WHS incident and hazard management, including leading investigations

  • Review and assure the accuracy of WHS performance data

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

  • A degree or diploma in WHS

  • 5+ years’ experience as a WHS professional

  • Experience managing WHS in industrial or construction environments

  • Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation, standards, and codes of practice

  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise effectively in a fast‑paced environment

  • Strong risk management capability with a pragmatic approach to problem‑solving

  • Experience delivering WHS training programs

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels

  • Experience leading incident investigations and facilitating risk workshops

  • Ability to manage sensitive information in line with privacy requirements

  • Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to interpret WHS data and present insights clearly

  • Proficiency with online WHS data management platforms

Desirable:

  • Auditing qualifications • Change management capability

  • Experience managing psychosocial hazards and risks

If you meet some of these requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.

With a career at Transurban, you’ll enjoy a range of benefits, including:

  • A range of flexible working and leave options, including the option to purchase an additional six weeks of leave each year

  • 16 weeks paid parental leave (regardless of gender or carer status), with no waiting period, and Superannuation paid during unpaid leave
