Are you ready for a new opportunity leading our Corrosion Control group at Washington Gas? This critically important role schedules, remediates, designs, plans, maps, and maintains our Cathodic Protection systems that safeguard our distribution and transmission pipeline system, gate stations, plants, and storage facilities.
What You'll Do:
Oversee the completion of periodic surveys, remediation of Cathodic Protection systems, and design and installation of new and existing systems.
Assist with the development of corrosion control policies, procedures, and training programs.
Develop, lead & mentor a qualified staff
Monitor low pressure drips, water accumulation investigations, and drip water removal.
Coordinate the acquisition of permits
Ensure compliance with all Federal, state, and local codes as well as company standards and maintain records
Satisfy the corrosion control requirements of the company’s Transmission Integrity Management Program and Distribution Integrity Management Program
Collaborate with trade allies, Alliance partners, designers, Corporate Engineering, Gas Supply Operations, and Field Operations
Utilize various applications (Small world, Work Manager, Webwork Manager, Pipeline Compliance System, Cathodic Protection Data Management) to gather information and analyze data.
Represent the Company’s interests before internal and external audiences to include expert witness testimony, contractual negotiations, PSC and SCC interactions.
What You Bring:
High school diploma or GED
5+years corrosion experience
NACE Corrosion Technician or CP Technician level certification preferred
Working knowledge of pipeline construction, replacement, operations, maintenance and emergency response procedures and practices, federal, state and local codes and procedures.
Extensive knowledge of corrosion control procedures, practices, skills, and technology used for galvanic and impressed current Cathodic Protection systems.
We offer a competitive salary range of $103,500 to $150,750 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
