BLOOMBERG

Web Application Architect 4 (INDG)

Arlington - 1801 S Bell (INDG) Full time

You will set and drive technical direction across the Fixed Assets
platform; a business‑critical system with high stakes for correctness,
audit-ability, and regulatory compliance, powering computation‑heavy
workloads (depreciation, tax, valuation) over millions of assets, with a
performance-critical calculation engine written in C++ at its core.
Operating with significant autonomy across multiple teams and services,
you will lead the modernization of Fixed Assets from legacy monoliths,
stored procedures, and tightly coupled integrations toward a cloud‑native,
event‑driven platform on AWS. As a hands‑on DevSecOps team member, you
will own design, development, integration, delivery, and support of
customer‑facing web applications, anticipate product‑level technical
risks, and make architectural decisions that prevent them. You lead
through influence, not hierarchy; and you write code at a level that
sets the bar for the team.

  • Knowledge across multiple technical domains and an understanding of how and why technologies are deployed and utilized at INDG.

  • A track record of building stability, performance, and scalability across major business-critical systems.

  • A clear understanding of the relationship between complexity and cost and a record of successfully devising and implementing long-term strategies to lower it.
