The Mission

Reporting to the Vice President of the Defense Sensors Business Area, the Weapon Sensors Division Manager will have overall responsibility for profit and loss, growth, technical execution, staffing, and programmatic performance for a portfolio of programs that deliver weapon-related sensing solutions for various U.S. Department of Defense acquisition and R&D customers.

This position is responsible for meeting both financial and mission commitments across programs totaling over $70M annually, while leading personnel initiatives including hiring, staffing, career development, and performance management.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead in a fast-paced environment and foster a high-performing, results-driven culture that emphasizes innovation, accountability, and collaboration.

  • Develop and execute business strategies that drive growth and align with annual operating plan objectives.

  • Provide guidance and oversight to program and project managers to ensure technical, managerial, and business development goals are achieved.

  • Demonstrate strong business acumen in decision-making across business development, proposal strategy, and program execution.

  • Partner with corporate functions—including Finance, Contracts, HR, and Program Execution—to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with company policy and best practices.

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring delivery excellence and satisfaction.

  • Promote team cohesion and a winning culture that aligns with Leidos’ mission and values.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 10 years of experience in program management, defense production, or manufacturing leadership.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to execute complex technical projects and gain the confidence of customers, peers, and leadership.

  • Demonstrated leadership and change management skills with a track record of improving program and business performance.

  • Experience staffing and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • U.S. Citizenship required. Must possess and maintain a Final Secret Clearance and be eligible for Top Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct P&L management experience of $25M+ annually.

  • Experience in large-scale acquisition programs or managing complex defense systems.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $148,850.00 - $269,075.00
