Compensation: $23/hour
Role:
We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Warehouse Associate to join our team at Buckhead Meat - Vancouver. This role involves working in a refrigerated warehouse environment, including regular tasks inside the freezer. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for accurately picking and preparing customer orders, maintaining high standards of productivity, and ensuring compliance with all safety and food handling protocols.
Responsibilities:
This is Sunday to Thursday shift with a 4pm start.
Pick and stage orders accurately and efficiently in a cold/freezer environment.
Operate an electric stand-up counterbalance forklift safely in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper use of PPE in cold storage areas.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse areas.
Provide assistance in maintaining workplace safety, including being a certified First Aid responder on shift.
Ensure that any equipment being used is safe to operate at all times.
Comply with all Food Safety and HACCP regulations.
Ability to be available to work weekends as needed.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Standup electric counterbalance forklift certificate required.
Occupational First Aid Certificate is an asset (OFA Level 1).
1+ year warehouse related experience (food processing, cold environment production).
Completion of High School, Post-Secondary an asset
Trained in WHMIS, Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP
Able to work in a fast-paced work environment with superior attention to safe work methods
Physically able to lift (50 to 70 + lbs.), stand, walk, bend, twist, stoop, squat, repetitively for the duration of the shift
Can identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
Ability to work well under pressure
