The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with EHS, Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.


The role ensures that materials and finished products are received, stored, handled, and dispatched safely, accurately, and in line with quality, regulatory, and company requirements.

The Supervisor leads a team of warehouse operatives and team leads, ensuring efficient, compliant, and safe operations across all warehouse functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.

  • Ensure that all materials are handled in accordance with EHS, GDP, GMP and internal SOPs.

  • Maintain workflow and resource planning to meet daily operational targets.

  • Coordinate on a daily basis with Quality Assurance (QA), Production, and Planning teams to align warehouse operations with business needs.

  • Maintain accurate and complete records of all warehouse activities.

  • Oversee temperature-controlled storage areas, ensuring monitoring and deviation reporting.

  • Support internal and customer/regulatory external audits, providing records and corrective action follow-up.

  • Ensure all warehouse personnel are trained on relevant SOPs and quality standards.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of warehouse operatives and team leads.

  • Conduct performance reviews and support training programs.

  • Promote a strong safety and compliance culture within the team.

  • Ensure accurate inventory control through routine cycle counts and reconciliations.

  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies or non-conformances.

  • Support data integrity and ensure transactions are correctly recorded in the WMS system.

  • Enforce safe working practices and ensure compliance with site HSE standards.

  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment, PPE, and storage areas.

  • Report and investigate safety incidents or near-misses promptly.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.

  • Support lean initiatives and promote best practice warehousing standards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize space, workflow, and system use.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

  • Strong understanding of GDP/GMP and quality documentation requirements.

  • Proven experience supervising or leading warehouse teams.

  • Proficiency with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).

  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong focus on compliance, accuracy and attention to detail.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a regulated warehouse environment (pharmaceutical, medical device, or life sciences).

  • Experience with cold chain and controlled temperature storage.

  • Knowledge of lean or continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Forklift/MHE certification and experience.

Working Conditions

  • Warehouse environment with temperature-controlled and restricted access areas.

  • Shift-based role; flexibility required for operational coverage.

  • PPE and hygiene standards must be observed at all times.

  • Regular interaction with QA, Production, and Regulatory teams.
