Job Description:

Victory Wine Group was established in 2015 as an innovative solution for wineries and distillers in Texas.  In January 2023, Victory Wine Group became Maverick Beverage Company of Texas and in 2025 we became Johnson Brothers Maverick of Texas.  As an importer and distributor of fine wines and craft spirits based in Texas, we represent a high-quality, diversified collection of wines and spirits from around the world, many of which are family-owned and operated. 

Job Duties:

  • Oversee/schedule all incoming inventory, ensuring accurate receipt, inspection, and storage of goods.

  • Manage staff, documentation, and uphold safety protocols, safety program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.

  • Update inventory systems (WMS), resolve shipment discrepancies, and coordinate with vendors to maintain operational efficiency.

  • Implements receiving and put-away processes as needed, ensures all items received are put away fully and accurately same day for picking process to commence by 5PM.

  • Records and communicates discrepancies with documented and pictural support assisting in supplier claims within 24 hours of the discrepancy, or same day regarding damages.

  • Oversees slotting of new items or items previously discontinued, ensuring any newly arrived items are slotted by anticipated or established velocity in the appropriate sized locations same day of receiving and replenishment has been completed of the newly assigned pick location.

  • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

  • Works closely with commercial and purchasing departments on wrong items, upc discrepancies, as well as stacking and placement protocols maintaining proactive and professional communication.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years of previous management experience in warehouse/distribution environment.

  • Experience and knowledge with applicable federal regulations pertaining to the company's.

  • Business operations including OSHA and DOT regulations.

  • Strong computer skills. Previous WMS experience.

  • Strong organizational skills, versatility, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to work as a team member.

Pay: $85k+ annual compensation, DOE
