Role Purpose
The AZ SPW Warehouse Manager is responsible for the effective management, control, and distribution of all Self-Perform Work (SPW) tools, equipment, vehicles, and warehouse space. This role ensures project teams are consistently equipped with safe, reliable, and cost-effective tools and materials, while driving discipline, accountability, and predictability across the SPW tool and equipment program.
Roles & Responsibilities
SPW Tools & Equipment Management
- Provide full oversight and day-to-day management of all SPW owned and leased tools and equipment to support project execution.
- Maintain accurate, real-time inventory logs, including assignment, delivery, return, and condition of tools/equipment.
- Ensure all new tools and equipment are logged, tagged, and entered into the master inventory; remove items from inventory when taken out of service.
- Perform rent vs. buy analyses to support project team requests and recommend the most cost-effective solution.
- Coordinate with OES and external vendors for purchasing, repairs, warranties, and replacements.
- Manage tool and equipment repairs, including warranty claims and cost-of-repair vs. replacement evaluations.
- Track and maintain records of vendor discounts, rebates, rewards programs, and warranties.
- Administer and enforce the tool and equipment inspection and testing program to ensure all items remain safe and operational.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards, inspections, tags, stickers, and expiration requirements.
- Maintain inspection logs, service records, and in-service dates for all safety-related equipment.
- Conduct routine jobsite audits to verify tool and equipment presence, condition, and proper use.
- Provide weekly inventory and assignment updates to project teams and SPW leadership.
- Drive consistency, discipline, and accountability across all SPW tool and equipment processes.
Warehouse & Yard Operations
- Oversee and manage SPW leased warehouse and yard space to ensure it remains safe, functional, and efficient.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and clearly labeled warehouse layout to support quick access and efficient material flow.
- Optimize storage based on frequency of use and project priority.
- Identify, segregate, and disposition obsolete, excess, or rarely used tools, equipment, and materials.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for warehouse organization, security, and access control.
Deliveries & Logistics
- Collaborate with SPW Field Leads to develop and execute weekly delivery and pickup schedules.
- Transport tools and equipment between the SPW warehouse and active project sites throughout Phoenix and Tucson.
- Coordinate will-call material pickups and vendor deliveries to support project teams as needed.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes and schedules to maximize efficiency (e.g., grouped Tucson trips, use of OES resources).
- Coordinate loading and unloading activities at the warehouse and project sites; assist or lead as required.
- Maintain current forklift certifications and required project-specific safety orientations.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of SPW trucks, trailers, and delivery equipment.

- Proficient with technology, inventory systems, and basic software (Excel, tracking logs, email, etc.).
