Warehouse Lead - 1st Shift

As a Warehouse Lead, you will provide additional resources to the Warehouse Operations leadership team, while providing high potential hourly associates the opportunity for development and potential advancement. Warehouse Leads will develop their leadership qualities, overall business acumen and people skills needed to be considered for a supervisory role.

Job Description

  • Earn $28.50 per hour

  • 1st Shift , schedule

Description

  • Under the supervision of a Shift Manager, the Warehouse Lead will be responsible for directing the day to day hourly warehouse associates within an assigned AOR to achieve daily operational goals

  • Lead & follow-up on team activities & drive accountability within their assigned Warehouse

  • Communicate daily expectations with team members

  • Attend daily, weekly and monthly supervisor meetings

  • Attend or participate in management training classes for leadership development

  • Carry out assigned projects for leadership development

  • Communicate with other supporting functional groups within C&S

  • Travel Required: No

Environment

  • Warehouse : Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)

Skills

  • Specialized Knowledge : Knowledgeable of shipping and receiving procedures and experience working in various warehouse positions

  • Special Skills : Read, write, operate MHE equipment (pallet jack), other required materials handling equipment (MHE), effective communication skills, team player, attention to detail, organizational and problem solving skills, Comfortable using technology

  • Physical abilities: : You will be constantly seeing, hearing, sitting and handling paperwork. Occasionally, you will be standing, walking, driving, bending, twisting feeling, reaching, stooping, climbing, balancing, carrying, lifting, pushing, pulling, and gripping items ranging from under 20 lbs. to over 60 lbs.

  • Other: : Steel Toed shoes are required; Compliance with all company policies and procedures
