Job Summary

Responsible for providing administrative and warehouse support to EDC leadership.  

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

Assists EDC Manager by offering clerical/administrative support. Generates reports, updates associate communication boards, coordinates associate events.

Provides miscellaneous clerical assistance to various departments.

Manages building and office supplies - ordering, monitoring, cycle count.

Maintains office equipment and routes building maintenance requests.

Answers internal and external calls; directs calls to the appropriate department.  Opens and distributes mail.

Reviews shipping orders. Locates product in warehouse and prepares for shipment.  Loads and unloads material onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand.

Prepares inventory for shipment. Properly bands and shrink wraps pallets, and attaches shipping labels.

Processes shipping orders using computerized shipping system.

Loads and unloads trucks.

May be required to perform other warehouse duties as needed.

Nature and Scope

  • Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.

  • Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor.

  • None.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Conditions could produce mild discomfort on occasion.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting or standing in the same location and/or there may be a need to stoop regularly or move/lift light material or equipment (typically less than 8 pounds).

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer clerical, data entry, and administrative experience.  Proficient experience in MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint).
