Position Summary:
The Vice President, Product – Health & Benefits (Accounts, Cards & Payments) is a senior product leader responsible for setting the strategy, roadmap, and execution for WEX’s core Health & Benefits account products — including HSA, FSA, HRA, Lifestyle, and Commuter benefits — along with the cards, payments, and transaction experiences that power them with a “Think Big” mindset.
This leader will shape the future of WEX’s consumer and employer value proposition across spending accounts, digital card experiences, and payment workflows. The VP drives innovation, operational excellence, and market differentiation while ensuring WEX delivers simple, intuitive, compliant, and reliable solutions across all account and payment touchpoints.
The role works closely with leaders across Engineering, Operations, Payments, Data, Finance, Legal, Sales, and Client Success to ensure product strategies align with business objectives and customer needs.
The VP also builds and mentors a high-performing product team focused on outcomes, customer experience, and growth.
The VP identifies opportunities to leapfrog the market to serve the overall WEX strategy and leverages vision, strategy, and outcomes to align the team on priorities. This role builds executive alignment, serves as a trusted strategic partner to peers, and ensures shared goals are set across businesses and functional groups.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Time Spent
Discovery & Strategy / Customer at the Center/Vision: Develop and evangelize strategy across multiple products and shared capabilities, proactively balancing delivery for short and long-term initiatives with delighting our customers at the center. Ensure strategies have a durable advantage, and strategic goals and monetization strategies across the portfolio are managed.
- Define and evolve the multi-year strategy for all Health & Benefits account products (HSA, FSA, HRA, Lifestyle, Commuter), the benefits card ecosystem, and payments infrastructure.
-Identify opportunities to modernize account experiences, streamline payment and reimbursement workflows, simplify substantiation, and enhance consumer trust in card usage.
-Evaluate emerging technologies — including AI, automation, real-time payments, spend intelligence, and digital wallet capabilities — and translate them into strategic investments.

Outcomes Orientated Delivery: Guide product teams to deliver measurable outcomes across adoption, consumer engagement, operational efficiency, payment success rates, card approval/decline optimization, and revenue growth.
Oversee the product planning lifecycle from quarterly prioritization through delivery, ensuring clarity of goals, trade-offs, and dependencies.
Monitor product performance through KPIs such as account growth, contribution rates, payment turnaround time, card approvals, fraud reduction, and customer satisfaction. Ensure the experience is compliant, reliable, and optimized for speed, simplicity, and customer confidence.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Required Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in business, technology, or a related field.
15+ years of professional experience, with significant experience in a product leadership role.
Proven ability to oversee multiple product portfolios and drive systemic innovation across an organization.
Expertise in leveraging vision, strategy, and outcomes to align teams and manage cross-functional execution.
Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture a culture of data-driven decision-making.
Strong track record of building and managing a talent plan for product organizations.
Master’s Degree
Experience in the FinTech, Payments, or B2B domain.
Cultivate product talent by championing the Product Operating Model (POM) and its culture internally and externally.
