The salary range for this role, based in New York, is $203,040.00 to $253,800.00. The range may vary if the role outside of this location.  Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Mission:

Lead local procurement activities in North America (USA & Canada), execute the global procurement strategy for the various spend categories for Direct (Packaging, Cereals, Liquids) and Indirect (Logistics, Marketing, POS, Business Services), design strategy and execute market reviews for localized categories underpinned by a robust roadmap to deliver against business ambitions. Ensure that business have access to the procurement resources deployed optimally.  Act as the key interface between business functions and procurement across all affiliates in North America. Design & execute localized categories strategy in alignment with the Global Procurement strategy, the procurement policies, processes, policies & tools

Key Accountabilities

Strategy:

  • Execute the global category strategy, across all affiliates assigned, in line with the global procurement strategies & plans and the overall company goals and initiatives
  • Design and implement the localized category strategies and roadmap, the negotiation and contracting strategies, in line with the global procurement strategy & processes
  • Responsible for the strategic direction and management of the local procurement activities incorporating the overall sourcing process and sustainable procurement policy
  • Collaborate with the business and the procurement community to align procurement strategies; animate local stakeholders’ ecosystem in the implementation of transversal ways of working, tools & best practices. Take part of stakeholder's main governance meetings to anticipate needs and share supplier trends  
  • Deliver & execute the local supplier relationships management, and support the global vendors local implementation and vendor management program when required

Operational:

  • Value maximization through : Buy Better (scale, professionalize procure practices), Spend Better (policies, processes, demand), Track Better (performance, compliance, sustainability)
  • Collaborate with local business teams to understand their needs and align strategies accordingly, prioritize initiatives to maximize benefits & cost optimization
  • Harmonize the market review processes, sourcing strategies, contract implementation and performance measurement and optimization
  • Manage and optimize the procurement process and manage change and the implementation of fit-for-purpose solutions:
  • For localized categories : implement sourcing strategies (needs, supplier panel), lead commercial execution (negotiation, contractual terms…) and monitor supplier
  • For Co-ordinated categories : co-develop category strategies in close link with Global Procurement
  • For Global categories: support Global Procurement on the discovery, market review process and the contract implementation 

Performance & management:

  • Set KPIs and targets to measure the procurement contribution to PR performance in the assigned markets
  • Build a team of exceptionally skilled individuals, fostering dynamic career trajectories and a culture of excellence, empower team members and drive their upskilling journey
  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness in spend management to increase ROI and optimize the supplier roster
  • Provide Management with reports as requested including but not limited to summarizing key activities and issues, governance savings, and improvements achieved, S&R...

  • +15 years’ of Procurement experience in FMCG and ideally in the Wines & Spirits industry
