Responsibilities:

  • Primarily involved in sales activities to develop new equipment finance relationships within defined markets and business segments

  • Expand the portfolio of booked transactions with new product and client acquisitions

  • Develop internal education on equipment finance transactions, structuring, policies and procedures to all bank teams including relationship managers, credit officers, and support staff

  • Cross-sell bank products and refer new banking opportunities to the applicable markets and business segments

  • Present and implement product offering to all bank groups through standard engagement and periodic portfolio reviews

  • Facilitate credit requests, including structuring, negotiation, and pricing for new Guidance Lines of Credit, Loan and Lease transactions

  • Collaborate with operations staff to ensure proper documentation and lien perfections on all closings and fundings

  • Facilitate customer service requests to ensure timely resolutions

  • Approve all aspects the bank’s perfection and protection when lending on equipment as subject collateral and advise senior management when required.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of credit analysis, banking products, credit policies and procedures and structuring all equipment finance and lease products

  • Well-developed sales and negotiation skills with strong aptitude for business development, relationship building, and a professional demeanor with excellent communication skills.

  • Comfortable presenting marketing materials to boards, financial executives, CEOs, and business owners of entities of all sizes and industries.

  • Extraordinary levels of motivation and initiative.

  • Effective team player with ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

  • Proficient in credit underwriting fundamentals and prior credit experience including financial analysis

  • Many documented years of exceeding volume and profitability targets for teams and individual production.

  • Exceptional skills in mentoring team members in areas of credit, pricing, documentation, collateral perfection, and other areas of both tax and non-tax lease products.

  • 5+ years of complex Equipment Finance experience. Product expertise and leadership experience exceeding budget and team goals

  • Equipment Finance marketing experience in a bank, industrial or independent equipment finance company, marketing to Corporate and Middle market client

  • Bachelor’s degree in business (Finance, Accounting, etc.) or other relevant degree.  MBA or equivalent experience a plus

  • Extensive product training in all arears of equipment finance
