Volleyball Assistant Coach


 

The Volleyball Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in planning, managing, directing, and evaluating all aspects of the PCC women's volleyball program. The Assistant Coach manages trip details, contacts potential athletes, and compiles reports as needed.

*This position is part-time and would be combined with another part-time primary position on campus.


 

Assist with Coaching
Coach, develop, and assist each athlete in their specific role on the team. Attend all practices and games, plan workouts for select position groups, and maintain complete knowledge of the rules of the game. On and off the court, serve as the primary aide and adviser to the Head Coach.

Manage Trip Details
Reserve transportation for travel days, making sure that players are informed of travel times. Communicate travel times to the Student Life Resource Office for academic purposes.

Recruit Potential Athletes
Contact potential athletes under the direction of the Head Coach. Meet and foster relationships with potential athletes during Eagles Invitational Classics and College Days. Take detailed notes of these communications to submit to the Head Coach.

Provide Statistical Reports
Act as the primary statistician for games, providing a detailed analysis during halftime and at the game's conclusion. Promptly report the game results of games to the Sports Information Specialist. Prepare the necessary paper work to be submitted by the Head Coach to the NCCAA within 24 hours of the game's conclusion.

1+ years coaching volleyball


 

Physical Requirements and Skills

Capable of standing and walking for long periods of time, Coaching Volleyball, Lift, bend, stretch, push, or pull as needed, Volleyball
