A Day in the Life 

As an Analyst I, you’ll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals.   

The hourly compensation range for this role is $20.00 to $25.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.   

Schedule: This position may be required for 24 hour support of the team during certain analysis. Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends based on workload demands.

To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:  

  • Preparation of samples for GC analysis
  • Analysis of samples by GC analysis
  • Preparation of reagents for lab use and/or shipment
  • Maintaining organized records of sample preparation and analysis
  • Overhead projects designed to improve efficiency of, or accuracy of analyses
  • Assisting the Group Leaders and analysts in acquiring and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation
  • Comply with Quality Assurance Program and other policies
  • Comply with company Health and Safety Plan
  • Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab Director

Your Expertise and Skills 

 These requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here.  

  • Associates degree or higher in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in professional setting. 
  • Ability to perform much of their work independently but needs direction from a Group Leader or more senior analyst to execute most effectively.
  • Knowledge of LIMS, analytical method, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safety
  • Must be flexible in work schedule and able to work overtime when needed.
  • Well organized and have an attention to detail
  • Good organization and communication skills

  • Sitting, standing, and walking
  • Lifting 50 pounds several times a day
  • Overhead lifting of over 20 pounds
  • Works in an office and/or laboratory environment
  • Often works outdoors and may be exposed to hot and cold environments and extreme weather conditions, including sunlit, rainy and windy conditions
  • May occasionally work shifts up to 12 hours in duration
