Position Overview
We are seeking a collaborative, innovative Videographer who brings a team-first mindset and a strong sense of accountability to visual storytelling. This role will support communications and marketing strategies through impactful visual content that drives awareness and growth. The Videographer coordinates video production from concept through delivery, ensuring all work aligns with organizational priorities, brand standards and approval framework. This role plays a key part in elevating awareness of Scottish Rite for Children’s leadership in pediatric orthopedics through compelling, high-quality content.
Key Responsibilities
Video and Photography Production
- Lead full-cycle video and photography production including concepting, pre-production, shooting and post-production editing
- Capture high-quality photography and video for marketing, public relations, clinical, educational and internal communications use
- Develop and pitch concepts aligned with strategic goals and approved communications priorities
- Ensure all content maintains a consistent, high-quality visual standard aligned with brand guidelines
- Deliver both long-form and short-form projects, managing multiple priorities and reliably meeting deadlines across a mix of extended and quick-turn timelines
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with physicians, clinicians, researchers and communications team members to ensure accurate, appropriate and effective storytelling
- Build strong, trust-based relationships across departments including operating room teams and leadership
- Communicate clearly and consistently with manager and stakeholders regarding timelines, approvals, risks and progress
- Contribute ideas and solutions while remaining open to feedback and direction
- Prioritize team success over individual ownership and maintain a professional, solutions-oriented approach
Project Management, Approval Workflow & Governance
- Manage all work through a formal intake, planning, and approval process—ensuring every project begins with a documented and approved content plan that defines audience, key messages, call to action, stakeholders, and distribution strategy
- Enforce a strict “no approval, no production” standard, requiring documented leadership approval before any filming, photography, or scheduling, and ensuring no content is published or distributed without full, documented approvals
- Build and maintain standardized workflows, checklists, and timelines (including clinical, legal, and leadership review), initiating review processes at least 10 business days in advance to allow for feedback and revisions
- Track and document all approvals to ensure full visibility, accountability, and compliance across projects
- Maintain a centralized production calendar aligned with team priorities and campaigns, and provide weekly written status updates outlining project stages, timelines, and any risks or barriers
File Management, Version Control & Asset Governance
- Own and enforce a structured, team-wide file management system, including naming conventions, folder structures, and organization to ensure assets are accessible, consistent, and easy to locate
- Maintain rigorous version control and a single source of truth across all projects, ensuring all edits, revisions, and final assets are accurately tracked, documented, and protected from unauthorized changes
- Oversee secure storage, backup (minimum two locations), and archiving of all media, including working files, final deliverables, and supporting documentation
- Build and manage a centralized library of approved, ready-to-use content for leadership and team access
- Train team members and leadership on file management systems and best practices to ensure consistency, continuity, and long-term scalability
Equipment & Technical Operations
- Operate and maintain all video and photography equipment ensuring readiness and performance
- Monitor equipment needs and recommend repair or replacement when necessary
- Maintain organized equipment storage with all gear in working condition and ready for use
Clinical & On-Site Production
- Serve as a primary videographer and photographer in clinical settings with professionalism, discretion and compassion
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to safely and effectively capture procedures and imagery
- Ensure all patient interactions uphold dignity, privacy and organizational standards
Strategic Contribution
- Stay current with industry trends, tools and best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including content, design, social and PR to align messaging and execution
- Contribute to campaign development including advertising and multimedia initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in videography, photography and visual storytelling across multiple formats
- Strong organizational and project management skills within structured workflows
- Storyboarding experience is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and deadlines
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud editing software, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition and Photoshop
- Familiarity with asset management systems and project management tools, such as Brandfolder, Vimeo, Youtube and Wipster
- Experience in healthcare or clinical environments is a plus
Portfolio Requirements
Candidates must submit a portfolio demonstrating both video and photography work. Submissions should reflect a balance of creative storytelling, technical execution and the ability to work within defined brand and organizational standards.
Portfolio should include:
- Examples of end-to-end video projects highlighting concept development, shooting and editing
- Photography samples that demonstrate composition, lighting and subject sensitivity across a variety of settings
- Work that showcases storytelling with emotional impact, clarity and purpose
- Examples that reflect consistency in quality, tone and visual style
- Projects completed within structured environments that required stakeholder collaboration, feedback and approvals

- Strength of storytelling and ability to connect with an audience
- Technical quality including lighting, audio, composition and editing
- Consistency and attention to detail across multiple projects
- Ability to align creative work with brand standards and organizational goals
- Evidence of collaboration, adaptability and responsiveness to feedback
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept through final delivery
