The Job:
The Visual Merchandising & Training Manager plays a key role in bringing the Tommy Hilfiger brand to life across EMEA retail environments. This role is responsible for translating global visual direction into EMEA appropriate product strategy and locally relevant execution, supporting in-store VM teams, and continuously improving retail presentation through training, store visits, and weekly trade feedback.
In close collaboration with hub-based Brand Managers, VM teams, and cross-functional stakeholders, this role ensures our stores reflect brand and commercial priorities while delivering an elevated, consistent customer experience. The Manager will lead model store development across EMEA hubs, support weekly trade actions, and act as the voice of field execution at regional levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Visual Merchandising Execution & Guidelines
Translate global VM direction into actionable EMEA-specific guidelines tailored to local assortment and store formats.
Develop and deliver seasonal toolkits including planograms, fixture fills, product zoning, and assortment mapping.
Lead the execution and development of model stores within each regional hub, working closely with hub-based Brand Managers to showcase seasonal product strategy and VM standards.
Support hub VM teams to ensure alignment, consistency, and high execution quality across all doors and channels (Retail, Outlet, Concession, Wholesale) through clear product stategy and reviewing market planograms.
Partner with Global VM on fixture planning, in-store tools, and concept testing.
Training & Talent Development
Conduct regular field visits and training sessions with VM teams and store staff, often alongside Hub Training Managers.
Create and maintain training modules, recap decks, and visual best-practice documentation for seasonal updates.
Coach and develop in-store VM talent and merchandise coordinators, helping build a pipeline of strong visual leaders.
Encourage knowledge sharing across hubs and recognize standout execution through communication and visual recaps.
Store Visit Analysis & Trade Support
Review Store Visit Reports (SVRs) and trade insights to assess execution quality and identify improvement areas.
Partner with hub Brand Managers and central merchandising to respond to weekly trade actions with updated visual direction, store-specific tweaks, or display optimizations.
Share feedback and learnings from the field with cross-functional teams to influence future VM tools and seasonal planning.
Document and present regional insights and success stories on a quarterly basis.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with Buying, Merchandising, and Sales to understand product priorities and support product flow visually.
Align VM actions with Marketing campaigns and promotional calendars to ensure full 360° execution.
Participate in showroom builds and model store installations to guide local market teams and maintain consistency across the region.
The Ideal Candidate:
5+ years of experience in Visual Merchandising within fashion, lifestyle, or premium retail
Hands-on experience leading store or hub-level VM initiatives and training programs
Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills with a practical, team-first mindset
Comfortable interpreting sales and trade data to drive VM actions
High level of organization, with the ability to juggle seasonal projects and ongoing retail needs
Experience partnering with Brand Managers, Training, and Store Operations
Ability to travel regularly across EMEA
Culturally aware and adaptable to different market needs
