Visual Designer

Your Role as a Visual Designer

As a Visual Designer on the Product Design Team, you’ll elevate the visual craft of everything we create. From high-impact presentations and polished product marketing assets to custom illustrations and branded experiences, you’ll help shape how Appspace looks, feels, and communicates.

This role is ideal for a designer with exceptional visual taste and execution — someone who thrives on turning complex ideas into compelling visuals. You’ll collaborate closely with product designers, marketing, leadership, and cross-functional partners to ensure our brand and product storytelling are cohesive, clear, and inspiring.

A Day in the Life:

Visual Craft & Storytelling

• Design high-quality presentations for executive reviews, conferences, and customer engagements.
• Create compelling visual narratives that translate complex product concepts into clear, engaging visuals.
• Develop custom illustrations, graphics, and visual assets that strengthen our brand expression.

Product Marketing & Brand

• Partner with Product Marketing to design launch materials, one-pagers, campaigns, and digital assets.
• Maintain and evolve Appspace’s visual language across product and marketing touchpoints.
• Ensure visual consistency across decks, documentation, web assets, and in-product visuals.

Design Systems & Collaboration

• Support the Product Design team with polished UI visuals, icons, and branded assets as needed.
• Contribute to and help refine visual standards within our design system.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to raise the bar on visual quality across the organization.

Craft & Innovation

• Bring fresh visual ideas and elevate the aesthetic quality of our outputs.
• Stay current with design trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve our creative execution.
• Champion attention to detail — typography, layout, color, and composition matter here.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field — or equivalent portfolio experience.
• A strong portfolio showcasing presentation design, brand systems, marketing assets, and illustration work.
• Exceptional visual design skills with mastery of typography, layout, color, and hierarchy.
  Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Experience creating executive-level presentations (Google Slides, PowerPoint, or Keynote).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Motion design or light animation skills (a plus).
