The Visiting Scholar in Residence will play a key role in implementing the Apple NSI project by supporting curriculum development, student engagement, and workforce training initiatives. This position is designed to enhance undergraduate education and research in the field of VLSI and related technologies.
The salary is determined in accordance with the University’s compensation structure and will be commensurate with the candidates’ education and experience, within the assigned salary range for this position.
Responsibilities:
Assisting Redesign and delivering undergraduate pre-tape and tapeout projects in ELEG4330 and ELEG4339.
Conduct workforce development workshop in summer 2026.
Lead the development of undergraduate research projects and support VLSI club activities.
Design a project-based special topics course (ELEG 4310), which will be taught in spring 2026; Class preparation before January 2026.
Required Education and Experience:
Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
Ten years of academic or industry experience
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Familiarity with hardware design and manufacturing processes related to chip design and/or tapeout.
Strong background in VLSI design, with demonstrated experience in academic instruction and student mentorship.
