The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services for the Ready-to-Drink. This role involves selecting & evaluating suppliers, Contributing and implementing programs to maximize value creation along multiple pillars including margin improvement, security of supply, and S&R,. The Buyer collaborates with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and ensures that procurement aligns with company goals and quality and sustainability standards.

Main activities and responsibilities:

  • Execute Global RTD strategies, in collaboration with Global category team.
    • Support the delivery of pipeline of initiatives with margin improvement projects
    • Continous improvement : Seek and propose new  ideas of cost optimization
    • Support the growth trajectory of the Ready-to-Drink category

  • Plays a key role, for RTD products, in supplier identification, development and relationship management
    • Understand category market dynamics and secures good supplier intelligence
    • Support to manage the supplier performance (based on price, quality, NPD supply chain)
    • Support the negotiation of contracts and terms with vendors and always seek the best value for the company and insure the risks are covered.
    • Negotiate the prices annually with the objective to improve RTD gross margin.
    • Be responsible of the price reconciliation and insure the agreed prices and terms are applied
    • For any cost increase : prepare a clear summary of the reasons, the alternative solutions for the cost change decision.
    • Is responsible for analyzing the supplier offers and producing clear and consistent synthesis for business allocation decision  
    • Support the local ops and marketing team : market intelligence (new suppliers exploration), innovation, to report / solve issues with suppliers

  • Actively participates to the Pernod Ricard Procurement transformation
    • Lead development and implementation of best practice procurement tools and processes
    • Identify new opportunities to reach category objectives and anticipates risks which might hinder realization of agreed targets

  • Collaboration
    • Support cross-functional teams, such as Sustainability, Operations & Legal in aligning procurement efforts with broader company objectives.
    • Assist in internal procurement communications and stakeholders engagement with our worldwide network.

Required experience and skills:

Professionnal/ Education

  • Procurement professional with a successful 2-3 years track record in a procurement organization
  • Experience from mature procurement organization in industrial companies at global level (i.e FMCG,  Automotive, electronic).
  • Preferable experience in direct procurement, specifically contract manufacturing, aluminum cans and primary packaging
  • Preferable : Master degree specialized in Engineering, Procurement or Finance

Technical

  • Demonstrated attention to detail in all tasks and ability to ensure accuracy and quality in work.
  • Highly organized
  • Practical experience and capabilities in Excel
  • Negotiator, developed problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Very good knowledge of sourcing processes and methodologies
  • Experience in contract negotiation
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal and presenting.
  • Fluent English. You will be speaking English most of your time. A high level is mandatory.
