Your Role: Video Creative Producer, Capital Buzz & Scroll Deep
We’re looking for a video creative producer with strong writing skills, sharp editorial instincts, a deep knowledge of pop culture and internet culture, and a proven ability to create content that cuts through in the fast-moving world of social media.
You’ll collaborate closely with the Capital Buzz and Scroll Deep editorial and video teams, playing a key role across the entire creative process, from idea generation to execution and optimisation, as well as producing short form video clips and other social content.
We’re looking for someone who is bursting with ideas, stays on top of trends, thinks in hooks and formats, and is committed to ensuring our content is always fresh and innovative.
Creative Development & Ideation (40%)
Monitor social conversations, trending topics, and cultural moments to pitch stories that will drive views and engagement.
Generate original, platform-native ideas that align with Capital Buzz and Scroll Deep’s tone, audience and talent.
Conceptualise repeatable formats and series that drive engagement and growth.
Lead and contribute to creative brainstorms, developing ideas from initial hook through to execution.
Scripting & Story Craft (30%)
Research and write scripts and interview structures that are clear, accurate, and tailored for social-first publishing.
Develop compelling hooks, cold opens and narrative arcs that maximise retention.
Identify standout moments from long-form content and plan for compelling short-form clips at the scripting stage.
Work closely with presenters and production teams to refine tone and delivery.
Production Collaboration & Delivery (20%)
Collaborate closely with the editorial team and YouTube channel manager on thumbnails, titles, and cold opens that drive clicks and watch time.
Write, edit, schedule, and optimise social content across multiple platforms to maximise reach and engagement.
Use analytics and audience insights to identify performance trends, share actionable learnings, and continuously refine content strategy.
Contribute to thumbnail, title and packaging discussions to strengthen performance.
Shooting & Editing (Beneficial) (10%)
Editing experience in Adobe Premiere Pro is advantageous.
Ability to create static assets in Photoshop or Canva.
Support production teams with practical video knowledge to ensure smooth delivery.

In your first few months, you’ll have:
Identified stories and written scripts for our biggest shows, with a number hit episodes under your belt
Produced and edited social content that has increased the views and engagement on our channels
Led a creative brainstorm and developed/executed ideas from them, and contributed ideas for repeatable video formats
Helped create a regular schedule of social output across Capital Buzz and Scroll Deep.
Embedded smoothly into workflows and communicated effectively across teams.
Used performance data to shape content decisions and drive measurable growth.
Familiarity with Capital Buzz and Scroll Deep’s video output, audience and voice.
Proven experience creating content for a brand, publisher, newsroom or content creator.
A deep interest in pop culture and internet culture.
Strong scripting and storytelling ability, with excellent written communication skills.
The ability to adapt voice and tone by show, with sharp editorial judgment about what's right for the brand, talent and audience.
A deep understanding of YouTube viewing behaviour, hooks and retention strategies.
Experience publishing and scheduling across social platforms, and optimising content using analytics.
Confidence pitching and developing ideas collaboratively with stakeholders.
Organised, proactive, and comfortable working at pace.
Flexible, a great communicator, and a good sense of humour.
Editing experience in Adobe Premiere Pro.
Hands-on shooting experience.
Ability to create static assets in Photoshop or Canva.
Basic motion graphics skills.
