Progressive Leasing

Vice President, People | Hybrid

Atlantic Station Full time

Progressive Leasing is a leading provider of in-store and e-commerce lease-to-own solutions. With more than 20 years in FinTech, we’ve grown from start-up to industry leader by innovating, simplifying, and valuing people. We are a subsidiary of PROG Holdings (NYSE: PRG), a FinTech holding company with three business segments: Progressive Leasing, Purchasing Power (a leading employee purchase program for consumer products and services using payroll deduction), and Four, a Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) platform.

About PROG Holdings

PROG Holdings (NYSE: PRG) is a financial technology holding company committed to expanding access to ownership for everyday people. Through our family of brands — including Progressive Leasing, Four, MoneyApp, and Purchasing Power — we deliver innovative, responsible financial solutions to millions of Americans.

We are a high‑growth company where the People function is a strategic partner to the business, operating with visibility, influence, and accountability at the executive level.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an executive‑caliber People leader to serve as Vice President of People for Purchasing Power (PPC) and enterprise People Partner Operations across PROG Holdings.

This is a senior, highly visible role for a People executive who thrives at the intersection of business strategy, people leadership, and organizational performance.

This is a hybrid role, working three days per week from Purchasing Power's Atlantic Station office.

As VP of People, you carry a dual mandate:

  • You are the most senior People leader for Purchasing Power — a member of the PPC executive team and the architect of its people strategy through and beyond integration into PROG.
  • At the same time, you lead PROG’s enterprise People Partner function: forward‑facing HR leaders embedded across every business unit and function, including operations in India.

People Partners are PROG’s primary bridge between the People function and the business. They sit close to leaders and teams and are accountable for driving performance through organizational design, talent management, workforce planning, performance management, and employee relations. This is consultative, high‑judgment HR work at its best.

This role reports directly to PROG’s Chief People Officer and partners closely with enterprise COEs spanning Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, HR Technology, Learning & Development, Communications, Engagement, and Community Outreach.

The person who succeeds in this role will be well‑positioned for expanded enterprise People leadership as PROG continues to scale.

What You’ll Do

Purchasing Power Leadership

  • Serve as the executive People leader for Purchasing Power, holding a seat on the PPC leadership team and acting as a trusted advisor to its President and senior leaders
  • Own PPC’s people integration into PROG’s operating model, culture, systems, and values
  • Architect and execute people strategies across the full talent lifecycle — organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, total rewards, employee relations, culture, engagement, and leadership development
  • Oversee PPC’s India HR operations, ensuring strong people practices, compliance, and employee experience across geographies

Enterprise People Partner Leadership

  • Lead, develop, and elevate PROG’s People Partner team embedded across the enterprise
  • Set the operating model, standards, and capability agenda for People Partnering at PROG
  • Hold the function accountable for outcomes that matter: organizational health, performance culture, talent depth, engagement, and manager effectiveness
  • Ensure People Partners operate as fluent business partners — diagnosing organizational issues, influencing leaders, and facilitating high‑impact talent and performance processes

Enterprise Contribution

  • Champion AI fluency and accelerate adoption of AI and automation across People Partner operations and business‑facing HR services
  • Serve as a thought partner to business leaders on AI‑driven workforce transformation
  • Leverage workforce data and analytics to surface insights, shape decisions, and demonstrate ROI of people investments
  • Represent PPC and the People Partner function in enterprise forums and contribute to PROG‑level People strategy
  • Provide executive oversight and strategic direction for PROG’s Internal Communications function, including enterprise‑wide messaging, employee communications, and change communications across the organization

What You Bring

  • Progressive HR leadership experience with genuine breadth across the full People function
  • Experience leading HR generalist / Business Partner teams with accountability for business outcomes
  • Senior HR leadership experience within a complex, multi‑brand or matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated success driving high‑performance culture through disciplined talent and performance management
  • Executive presence and credibility across leadership levels
  • A track record of building and leading high‑performing HR teams with intentional development focus
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect people strategy to commercial outcomes
  • Demonstrated fluency with AI, HR technology, and automation; experience contributing to AI or digital transformation efforts strongly preferred
  • Exceptional influencing and relationship‑building skills across functions and geographies
  • Experience with international HR operations preferred (India experience a plus)
  • Public company experience or strong understanding of public‑company governance and compliance environments preferred
  • Experience partnering closely with Internal Communications teams to drive clear, effective enterprise employee messaging and change communications at scale
