JOB SUMMARY

This is a senior leadership sales position responsible for overseeing and leading teams and processes related to leadership, strategy and execution of all sales activities for across multiple operating companies.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to, achieving performance key metrics, expense and sales management and strategic execution of local and corporate initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous development.

  • Drive colleague engagement initiatives to maintain a motivated workforce and ensure the retention of talent.

  • Regularly monitor results, sharing recognition and driving performance management where appropriate


Financial Management/Budgeting:

  • Monitor and report on performance with focus on compliance and revenue contribution

  • Accountable to results including P&L and other financial and non financial goals and objectives set forth for the deployment and execution of sales initiatives.

  • Accountable for performance of both the margin and top line revenue.  Develop and executive market-penetration strategies to increase sales.


Core Strategy/Execution and Cross-Functional Collaboration/Alignment:

  • Lead and develop a team responsible for defining short, mid and long term strategies to grow sales and market share.

  • Partner with marketing, merchandising, operations and finance teams to ensure sales are aligned to the business needs

  • Manages the relationship with both corporate and field leadership stake-holders for USBL ensuring EI is front and center in their strategy and tactics.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is required.

Experience

  • 10+ years professional experience with demonstrated progressive levels of management experience

  • At least 5-7 years in sales management

Preferred Experience

  • 7+ Retail, foodservice or restaurant experience

  • Exceptional written, verbal, presentation and negotiation skills

  • Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excell, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong business acumen and proven track record for driving business results through strong leadership, communication, effective internal and external relationships
  • Strong financial and analytical skills to identify and quantify new opportunities and gaps
  • Demonstrated skills in the area of consultative selling, networking and negotiations
  • Strong restaurant and retail acumen to manage sophisticated customers
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with and influence a variety of key stakeholders
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to mentor and develop others.  Able to engage and lead team discussion and meetings.  Understands team dynamics and works well within a team structure.  Collaborative management style and strategic team player.
  • Demonstrated complex initiative implementation skills
  • Demonstrates skills in making independent decisions in support of company policies and procedures in a timely manner

Work Environment

  • Primarily field setting and some office environment

  • Noise level is usually moderate

  • Will require evening and weekend work based on needs of business

  • Must be able to travel frequently to Sysco facilities or operating companies and/trade shows/events

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to site, stand, walk and use hands and fingers to operate computer keyboard, mouse and other offices/manufacturing equipment, telephone to talk and hear, and stoop, kneel , crouch, crawl and balance.

  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms and may lift up to 50 pounds
