Job Description
What is the opportunity?
As a Vice President in Global Credit Systems Solutions (GCSS), you'll lead a team managing complex, high-impact credit systems initiatives, serving as the critical bridge between business stakeholders and IT partners, directing the full lifecycle of major credit applications—from design through implementation. This role demands someone who can synthesize competing priorities, navigate complex technical landscapes, and champion solutions that serve the firm's best interests, not simply fulfill surface-level requests.
What will you do?
Drive system development projects for Global Credit from conception to deployment, leading a team of Business Systems Analysts while managing intricate requirements gathering and analysis activities across major credit applications.
Steer teams through strategic project execution, ensuring all regulatory, audit, and priority business initiatives are delivered on time and aligned with RBC standards and policies.
Build and maintain critical stakeholder relationships across business and IT, removing barriers to progress and ensuring transparent, timely communication across all organizational levels.
Translate business priorities into detailed requirements, enabling IT partners to develop and test solutions effectively and according to expectations.
Challenge requests when necessary—recommending solutions that maximize IT investment and data integrity rather than simply delivering what's initially requested, ensuring recommendations serve the firm's strategic interests.
Lead your team through complex requirements discovery sessions, validating UAT testing, coordinating BAT test cases, and providing advanced subject matter expertise to support users.
What You Need to Succeed
Must-have:
Minimum five years of relevant experience with proven success managing complex initiatives and juggling multiple stakeholder priorities simultaneously.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a logical, data-driven mindset and inherent sense of ownership and initiative.
Undergraduate degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
Advanced technical acumen: ability to write or understand complex code, read technical specifications with confidence, and extract actionable insights from data using SQL and Excel independently.
Clear and precise communication skills across all levels, from frontline teams to senior executives, with demonstrated success building and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners.
Exposure to credit lending processes and regulatory initiatives.
Strong team player mentality with the judgment to recommend solutions that serve the firm's strategic interests—even when they diverge from initial requests.
Demonstrated ability to address advanced subject matter experts and business stakeholders with technical rigor and strategic perspective, translating between highly specialized domain expertise and enterprise-level business objectives.
Nice-to-have:
Understanding of global banking regulatory frameworks and familiarity with emerging technologies like AI.
Domain knowledge of Global Credit systems architecture, including core credit data flows, ETL pipelines, and real-time data synchronization across platforms.
Familiarity with Global Credit's credit data model and key credit applications such as the Client Credit Management System (CCMS)
Understanding of end-to-end credit processes including credit approval workflows, limit monitoring, covenant management, and regulatory reporting requirements.
