Exciting opportunities have arisen for a Vice President – Cost to join the Team at Rolls Royce. We have 2 roles across Trent 1000, Trent 7000 and Trent Fleet.
The Vice President -Cost is responsible for end-to-end cost optimisation across the engine lifecycle within the value stream model.
The role leads the development and execution of cost strategies covering product unit cost, shop visit cost and lifecycle cost performance across both original equipment and the aftermarket.
Working in partnership with the Product and Shop Visit cost teams and delivery organisations across engineering, operations and supply chain, the Vice President -Cost drives continuous improvement initiatives that optimise cost performance while maintaining product reliability, safety and customer value.
This role plays a critical leadership position in ensuring the long-term economic competitiveness of the engine platform.
What you will be doing:
The Vice President – Cost will be accountable for:
Cost Strategy and Lifecycle Optimisation
Own all cost elements across the value stream framework.
Develop and deliver a sustainable lifecycle cost strategy covering OE and aftermarket.
Optimise cost performance across:
Unit product cost
Shop visit cost
Non-shop visit cost
Identify and implement cost improvement initiatives across the engine lifecycle.
Financial and Contract Alignment
Ensure cost performance aligns with contract review pack processes and five-year business planning cycles.
Translate operational cost drivers into clear financial insights and improvement initiatives.
Provide cost transparency and data to support strategic decision-making.
Cross-Functional Cost Leadership
Work closely with the central cost team and with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and finance to drive cost optimisation.
Partner with delivery organisations to execute cost improvement programmes.
Ensure cost discipline is embedded across the value stream.
Strategic Impact

Define and execute an optimised lifecycle cost strategy that strengthens the profitability of the engine platform.
Preferred requirements:
Strong experience in cost management within complex industrial or aerospace environments.
Track record of delivering cost optimisation in high-value engineering organisations.
Experience working across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and finance functions.
Understanding of engine lifecycle economics and aftermarket services is advantageous.
Aerospace or complex industrial markets would be useful.
Lifecycle service models and aftermarket economics.
