We are a group of highly trained, experienced animal lovers who are devoted to giving our patients the best care possible. Gainesville Veterinary Hospital is actively seeking an organized, compassionate, and service-oriented Veterinary Technician who is confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork, experienced in properly handling and restraining animals, knowledge of x-ray and positioning, understands the importance of client education, able to confidently dispense and administer medication prescribed by the veterinarian, and is a positive and supportive team member. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing and we encourage our staff to do the same. If you are an experienced veterinary technician looking to take your skills and knowledge to the next level and work with a great motivated team we are excited to hear from you.

These are our must-haves:

• Experienced Veterinary Technician with a minimum of 2 years experience at an animal hospital
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic & excellent nursing skills
• Ability to successfully restrain animals
• Able to complete clinical laboratory tests (fecal, heartworm tests, ear cytology)
• Ability to administer injections and medications
• Ability to perform xrays
• Able to lift over 50 pounds
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule & Saturdays are a requirement
• Must be dependable, compassionate, & a team player
• Good communication skills are a must
