We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Vendor Relationship Manager to oversee and optimize the relationships with our critical operational partners. This role is central to ensuring the stability, efficiency, and financial health of our core service delivery, with a dual focus on relationship management and cost optimization. 

Responsibilities:

Vendor Management & Operations

  • Serve as the primary operational liaison for a diverse portfolio of vendors, including:
    • Payment Networks (e.g., Visa, Mastercard)
    • ATM Logistics
    • Embossing and Card Personalization Services
    • Fraud Prevention and Monitoring Providers
    • Wire Transfer and Send to Debit Platforms
  • Manage the full vendor lifecycle from contract execution and onboarding through performance monitoring and off-boarding.
  • Establish, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) for all assigned vendors.
  • Lead regular business reviews (QBRs) with vendors to assess performance, review roadmaps, resolve operational issues, and ensure strategic alignment.
  • Act as the point of escalation for significant vendor-related operational incidents, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.

Cost Analysis & Optimization

  • Conduct continuous, in-depth analysis of vendor costs and contractor spend across all operational areas.
  • Proactively identify and develop strategies for cost-saving measures, process efficiencies, and potential contract restructuring.
  • Partner with Procurement and Finance teams to benchmark vendor pricing and manage budget adherence.
  • Analyze vendor invoices for accuracy and adherence to contractual terms, challenging discrepancies as needed.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management regarding vendor expenditure and contract value.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in vendor management, relationship management, strategic sourcing, or a related operational role, preferably within the financial services or FinTech industry.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (4-year degree) in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Proven track record of managing complex vendor relationships and negotiating operational terms.
    • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with a clear ability to identify, analyze, and execute on cost-saving opportunities.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and manage expectations at all organizational levels.
    • Demonstrated experience managing vendors critical to core banking or payment operations (e.g., networks, fraud, card production).
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, highly organized, proactive, and a strategic problem-solver.

The base salary range for this position is between $100,890 to $110,000 with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, business needs, and market demand.
