The Vendor Management Specialist plays a critical role within the Supply Chain organization, responsible for overseeing and optimizing relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders while ensuring effective vendor onboarding and vendor master data accuracy.
Your responsibilities
Follow and adhere to company‑approved vendor onboarding processes and strategies aligned with organizational goals, supply chain procedures, ERP governance, and internal control requirements.
Manage end‑to‑end vendor onboarding activities, ensuring vendors meet all business, compliance, financial, and system requirements prior to activation in ERP systems.
Maintain and support high‑quality vendor master data, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment across ERP and related systems.
Serve as a primary point of contact for vendors during onboarding and lifecycle activities, fostering collaboration, transparency, and open communication.
Liaise closely with internal stakeholders including Category Management, Supply Chain Operations, Project Procurement, Finance, Legal, and IT to align vendor onboarding, vendor master data, and system‑related activities.
Monitor vendor compliance with contractual agreements, onboarding requirements, ERP data standards, and company policies; identify issues and drive timely resolution.
Identify risks, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities within vendor onboarding and vendor master data processes, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, standardization, and process optimization across vendor management, vendor master data, and supply chain operations.
Our Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field).
Three to five years of experience in vendor onboarding, vendor management, vendor master data maintenance, procurement operations, or related supply chain roles.
Experience working with ERP systems (IFS is a plus) supporting vendor master data and procurement processes.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Solid understanding of vendor master data concepts, data governance, and ERP system dependencies.
Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a complex, cross‑functional environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and project management capabilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams at various levels of the organization and to facilitate communication and coordination across departments to ensure seamless execution of vendor-related and system-driven activities
Strong project management skills with a focus on delivering results within established timelines.
Ability to travel as needed for on-site evaluations, collaboration or internal projects
