JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Vendor Development – Coimbatore, India

Job Location: Coimbatore, T.N, India.

Preferred language – Tamil, English & Kannada.

Outline of Position, Responsibilities & Authority

The incumbent will be responsible for developing vendors in and around Coimbatore region w.r.t Mold Base, trading components etc.

The incumbent will be on the rolls of MM-DME India Pvt. Ltd.

The position will be reporting to the Managing Director of MM-DME India Pvt. Ltd., Shinoli & Bangalore.

Responsibility of Vendor Developer

  • Develop and implement vendor management strategies and best practices.
  • Conduct regular vendor assessments to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring favorable terms for the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align vendor activities with organizational goals.
  • Supplier development for purchased items for use in manufacturing - including pricing changes. This includes pricing decisions and supplier-wise share allocations in case multiple sources.
  • Raw material purchases: based on requirements from Stores, collect quotes and arrive at internal decision-based cost, quality and availability.
  • Supplier / contracts for services such as logistic providers, and other services/ contracts for direct support to manufacturing.
  • Supplier development for independent (not from DME group) procurement for trading business.
  • Capital goods purchase and supplier selection in coordination with user department.
  • Outsourcing projects for manufacturing processes
  • Initiate and lead Cost reduction project through sourcing alternate suppliers for raw material, consumables, tooling, job work etc.
  • GMO to formulate and monitor strategy for tooling procurement with changing needs.

  • Able to handle independently the Purchase functions.
  • Vendor development & Management

Experience and Personal Profile
 

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in any discipline (Preferably B.E/Dip in Mech. Engr.), advantage
  • Knowledge in Plastics Injection mold design and development, sourcing of mold Components.
  • Exposure to global purchase is desirable.
  • Should possess good negotiation skills.
  • Very good computer skills including MS office.
  • Knowledge of ISO process is an added advantage
  • Age around 30- 35 years.

 Remuneration

                                              

  • CTC Range – 12 to 15.0 lakh per annum.
