The Consultants are experts in providing VAT compliance services and VAT advisory support to a wide range of clients operating across all sectors and in multiple jurisdictions.

They work continuously to ensure that clients make informed business decisions in light of VAT developments and changes. Consultants monitor and anticipate updates to VAT legislation and respond promptly with advice tailored to each client’s specific compliance requirements.

The role is primarily focused on the preparation and submission of VAT returns in all countries where our clients operate and undertake strategic transactions. In addition, Consultants are responsible for managing client relationships and communicating with clients and tax authorities across several jurisdictions, as well as monitoring and following up on ongoing processes.

Fluency in German (written and spoken) is essential for this role, as you will be supporting German-speaking clients.

The position requires strong client-facing skills and the ability to liaise with tax authorities in multiple countries, alongside solid technical VAT knowledge to deliver high-quality services globally. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and understand client's business and flows to ensure that VAT compliance is completed speedily and efficiently and submitting VAT declarations and associated documents by the appropriate deadlines.
  • Analyze VAT data submitted by clients, prepare, and validate the VAT declarations to ensure that completed forms follow legislation and regulations in each country.
  • Point of contact with the client and preparation of report and advice emails to clients.
  • Point of contact with the tax authorities in the countries where the clients have strategic transactions.
  • Handle the reception and the answer to the information requests and audits performed by the tax authorities on behalf of the clients.
  • Assist Senior / Manager in dealing with other intricate business issues of clients.
  • Follow up the processes of VAT registration / VAT deregistration processes to ensure that follow legislation and regulations in different countries.
  • Helping businesses and individuals create strategies for dealing with VAT and prepare for their future in the financial market.
  • Proactivity research and update of VAT knowledge data basis.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Management, Economics, or a related field.
  • Fluency in German and English (written and spoken) is required. Additional languages will be considered an asset.
  • Professional experience of at least 2 years in a multinational company / environment.

Computer Skills:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet navigation and research.
