What you will do:

The role of Value Stream Manager - Airfoils & Composites Product Center is both exciting & challenging. There are two roles available - one role will be assigned to lead the IBR and Turbine Disk Value Stream and the other role will be assigned to lead the Composites Value Stream. This role falls within the Cold Section Supply Chain Organization. This position requires exceptional problem-solving skills & the ability to build efficient working relationships across the many P&W functional groups; Supply Chain, Quality, Materials, Continuous Improvement, Engineering, MCL, ESA and multiple suppliers. 

The Global Supply Chain team is responsible for working closely with suppliers across the world to ensure we deliver affordable, high-quality parts that meet our customer's dynamic needs. Our team fosters an internal environment that thrives on utilization of the CORE operating system, while coaching and supporting the supply base to ensure they meet our quality standards and achieve success in their lean journey. We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work in a challenging environment. The candidate should be able to provide a high level of customer focus while meeting business objectives.

The VSM will lead a matrixed team of direct report Buyers, Account Specialists and Supply Chain Managers, with support from Quality, Planning, Manufacturing Engineering while working with the CIPT to deliver quality components on-time at target cost. Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership and engage employees in the business through use of the CORE Operating System. 
  • Drive value stream improvements and business results through usage of supplier management processes to ensure the long term business delivery objectives are achieved.
  • Support implementation of Long Term Agreements
  • Drive the team to actively use Procurement Manual/Standard Work
  • Responsible for development, overall delivery assurance, material planning (inventory management), supplier performance monitoring & surveillance, strategic supplier performance improvement, and supplier transition/cost management for all parts within the value stream
  • Ensure Export Control Compliance
  • Travel requirements vary between 10-25% annually.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field with 12 years of experience in supply chain or related field; or an advanced degree with 10 years of experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems or sites.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
