As a Validation Coordinator, you will be responsible for obtaining proper documentation to validate certain fees charged at the time of closing. You will be responsible for requesting and processing mortgage related documentation, reconciling recording and title fees when applicable, and requesting refunds for overages when necessary.
Here’s a snapshot of what you’d be doing:
Reconcile recording and title fees collected at closing with disbursement ledgers and/or additional documentation from the title company and/ or internal parties. Issue post-consummation closing disclosures with updated fees (if applicable).
Archive legible and complete copies of any applicable refunds issued to borrowers.
Respond to internal and external inquiries related to mortgage documentation, recording, and/or title fees.
Remain knowledgeable on company and industry guidelines and processes.
Actively contribute to making the team and culture stronger by assisting with other duties as needed, excluding licensed activity.
