Role Purpose

The Vaccines Strategic Planning & PMO Lead is the strategic orchestration and performance nerve center for our company Vietnam’s largest and most complex business unit, contributing approximately 80% of total company performance.

This role ensures Vaccines strategy, multi‑year priorities, complex initiatives, capability development, and BU‑level performance reporting are integrated into a cohesive system that enables strong leadership decisions and long‑term sustainability.

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Foresight

  • Integrate global, regional, and local Vaccines strategies into clear multi‑year BU roadmaps.

  • Act as a strategic thought partner to the Vaccines BUD on portfolio direction, sequencing, and long‑term value creation.

  • Lead strategic foresight and scenario planning to anticipate future risks and opportunities.

Strategic Portfolio & PMO Governance

  • Own the Vaccines BU strategic initiative portfolio, including complex, long‑horizon programs.

  • Govern enterprise‑scale initiatives across global, regional, and local stakeholders.

  • Manage interdependencies, milestones, and leadership‑level decision flows.

BU Performance Architecture & Reporting

  • Own Vaccines BU performance architecture, including strategic KPIs, scorecards, and milestone tracking.

  • Consolidate BU performance into one coherent executive narrative for BU leadership, regional reviews, and corporate forums.

  • Drive a disciplined BU performance rhythm focused on insights and decisions, not just reporting.

Ways of Working, Capability & Culture

  • Define scalable, future‑fit ways of working for the Vaccines BU.

  • Partner with Learning & Development to build Vaccines‑specific competencies aligned to strategy and future needs.

  • Partner with HR and BU leadership to support Vaccines culture transformation, reinforcing ownership, accountability, and enterprise thinking.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure all Vaccines BU initiatives and reporting adhere to our company governance and compliance standards.

  • Coordinate Vaccines BU engagement with regional and global stakeholders.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent strongly preferred.

  • Management consulting background strongly preferred (e.g. McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Strategy&, EY‑Parthenon, Accenture Strategy, Deloitte Monitor).

  • Proven experience in strategy execution, transformation, PMO, or portfolio management roles.

  • Ability to operate effectively across global–regional–local interfaces in complex, matrixed organizations.

  • Strong strategic thinking, structured problem solving, and executive communication skills.

  • Experience in healthcare or pharmaceuticals is an advantage but not mandatory.
