Responsibilities

  • Designing software and app user-interfaces for multiple platforms to enable industry-leading gaming hardware experiences.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define user needs, design objectives, and align with business goals.
  • Maintaining a shared design library including elements that make up our global unified design language.
  • Building functional prototypes of UI elements to share with UX research and Software engineering stakeholders.
  • Presenting designs and design recommendations to internal stakeholder audiences and using research findings to clarify and explain the conclusions.
  • Conducting UI quality assurance reviews of developer builds to ensure pixel perfect implementation, visual and behavioral consistency, and full alignment with approved design specifications.
  • Advocating our users’ point-of-view in the larger design discussions; voicing their feedback and connecting that to our design and business goals.
  • Staying up to date with latest design trends and user expectations, always looking for new and creative ways to improve the software/app experiences.

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant Design field, Human-Computer Interaction, or demonstrated competence.
  • 5 years of relevant experience with a focus on software and apps, ideally in the hardware technology or gaming sectors.
  • Strong design portfolio highlighting software and app design experience, as well as visual and/or graphic design.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong desire to ask and understand “why” in order to simplify complex concepts into intuitive tasks.
  • Ability to solve problems by asking questions and actively listening.
  • Solid understanding of design principles, theories, and concepts (including accessibility and responsive design concepts).
  • Working knowledge of Windows, iOS, and Android operating systems & design guidelines.
  • Strong understanding and experience in designing and implementing research and data collection plans for user experience testing and acceptance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate user experience data, design proposals and product specifications and negotiate options at management levels. Ability to present, pitch and convince.
  • Eager to challenge the status quo, continuously finding ways to innovate.​
  • Experience with 3D design software (Figma) and/or UI development in Xcode or Android Studio.
  • Bonus point for experience with interface prototyping with Protopie or similar tools.

The pay range for this role is $105,050 to $161,800 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
