US Payroll Analyst

Huntsman is seeking a US Payroll Analyst supporting the United States and other Americas locations, based at our Global Business Services (GBS) site in Heredia, Costa Rica. This position will report to the Regional Payroll Manager.

Job Scope

The US Payroll Analyst is responsible for executing and supporting end-to-end payroll activities for U.S. employees and providing payroll support for other countries in the Americas as required. This role ensures payroll accuracy, compliance with labor and tax regulations, and alignment with corporate policies, while acting as a key liaison between internal stakeholders, external payroll vendors, and auditors.

In summary, as the US Payroll Analyst, you will:

• Execute payroll-related activities including payroll inputs, time and attendance controls, payroll validation, and review of social charges, income tax, holidays, and severance payments.

• Deliver complete and accurate payroll data to enable timely payroll processing.

• Manage U.S. payroll processing and provide payroll support for additional Americas locations as needed.

• Validate payroll calculations and information provided by external payroll vendors in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.

• Act as the primary point of contact for payroll audits, serving as intermediary between auditors and external payroll vendors.

• Apply knowledge of HR disciplines and labor regulations to ensure compliance across payroll activities.

• Support payroll activities related to labor regulations in the United States, Costa Rica, and other Americas countries as applicable.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica.

Candidates must be willing to work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at our office located in AFZ, Heredia. Additional office days may be required as needed or during corporate visits.

Minimum Qualifications

Education required

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience executing U.S. payroll activities in a multi-state environment.

• 1+ year of experience using Workday or a similar Human Capital Management System (HCMS).

• Demonstrated understanding of HR and payroll activities related to labor regulations in Costa Rica.

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (C1 proficiency).

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in U.S. payroll activities.

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).

• Knowledge of labor regulations in the United States, Colombia, and Mexico.

• Experience with ADP Vantage and/or ADP Workforce Now.

• ServiceNow knowledge.

• Advanced Excel proficiency.

• Valid passport and U.S. visa through 2026.
